Sweatpants are warm, comfy, easy to wear...
...AND often frowned upon. You can't wear sweatpants to work in many an office. Picture someone wearing sweatpants to a wedding, or to a special ceremony where they will receive an award, or to a fancy party.
It's hard to picture, isn't it?
But why shouldn't we be comfortable some or even most of the time? Or at least one day a year?! Remember, sweatpants aren't always super baggy and utilitarian gray. Check out some modern takes on sweatpants and get in the being-good-to-yourself, comfy groove of the day!
By the way, in case you are wondering how sweatpants got started, gray jersey sweatpants were introduced to the world in the 1920s by Emile Camuset, the founder of Le Coq Sportif. Here are a few of his ads (from the 60s, I believe):
