November 24 - Celebrate Your Unique Talent Day

Posted on November 24, 2019

Some people hear the words "unique talent" and think that means something so unusual, it could be described as weird or useless or silly or even embarrassing...

Or this...whatever this is!
Like the guy who brags he can burp the national anthem...

The girl who can unwrap a Starburst with her mouth...

The woman who claims she can blow bubbles out of her eyes underwater...

The boy who can move one eye while the other stays still...

Those talents are all fine and well, but we have to remember that each of us is unique in the sense that nobody else has our exact genetic combination (unless we have identical siblings) combined with our exact environment and upbringing. We, each of us, ARE unique, a fresh breath of air, a fresh hope for the world.

I wrote about "Waspa" here.
What we write, draw, photograph, sing, or invent will be at least a little bit different than anything created or performed before. And it could be revolutionary! Our exact combination of passions and skills and opportunities are unique, and we should develop them and celebrate them!
Two fields that are bound to grow and change are AI (above)
and inventions to offset global warming (below).

Who knows? YOUR voice might get through
the noise and create much-needed movement.

Arts of all kinds constantly change and grow and diversify...
They help soothe us, entertain us, challenge us, move us...
