June 9, 2012 - International Young Eagles Day

If you are interested in learning to fly some day, check out EAA's Young Eagles. You can get a free flight (if you are between the ages of 8 and 17), and you can sign up as a student member of EAA—also for free!—if you are between the ages of 8 and 19. Of course, actually learning to fly does cost some money—but perhaps not as much as you might think. (There are also flight training scholarships.) You should definitely check out the EAA website if you and your parents think flying is for you. There is also a special section for games and interactive activities.

Want to Try to Fly?

You may want to check out the free online flight simulators such as the GEFS program, which uses Google Earth, and BG Games.

If you like a great view, maybe
you'd like to fly high in the sky!
