Jazz! Cajun! Creole! Mardi Gras!

Louisiana - including its most famous city - New Orleans - has brought a lot of flavor to the United States, both literally and figuratively speaking!

From the Natchez and Choctaw and Chitimacha native peoples to French explorers and Acadian (French Canadian) transplants, from finally freed African Americans to folks with Caribbean and English and German and Spanish ancestries...

Wow, talk about a melting pot!
