The Pacific island nation of Niue celebrates its first festival of the year this week. "Takai" Week means "Going Around Week," and islanders drive around the ring road (which is only 40 miles around this entire island) in brightly decorated vehicles. Some people toss sweet treats to kids while Going Around!

Also, Niueans will (unless prevented by the pandemic) hold sporting competitions, dances, and church services every day this week.
