He was born on this date in 1924 - and still alive, at age 94, he is the longest-lived president.

The Japanese bombed U.S. port Pearl Harbor when Bush was still just 17 years old. Six months later, Bush turned 18 and enlisted in the navy. He became the youngest naval aviator a few days before his 19th birthday!

George H. W. Bush and his wife Barbara had 6 kids. Theirs was the longest marriage of any U.S. president - 73 years! That beat the second longest marriage of a U.S. president by almost 20 years (John and Abigail Adams were married 54 years).
