(Third Monday of August)

The
Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Australia
is holding a Cupcake Day to raise money for and awareness of the
organization.
You can participate even if you don't live in Australia. Just make and sell cupcakes to friends, neighbors, and relatives, and then donate the earnings to the nearest SPCA or Humane Society.

Any
excuse to eat cupcakes, right?
Tip:
make the cupcakes in the evening, when it isn't hot outside. Then you
can decorate your treats tomorrow morning, when they've cooled off,
and sell them all day tomorrow!
Stick
with the animal theme by making your cupcakes into animal cupcakes!
Use this video to learn some of the techniques, which of course can be used to create many different animals.
