It seems to me that this special day was started by Women Helping Women, Apriori Beauty, and Apriority Foundation - and the focus was helping unemployed or underemployed women to find better jobs by giving them "a day of beauty."
In other words, make overs!
But then others have been inspired by the title to make the day about finding natural beauty, making a more beautiful community, or making life more beautiful by being kind and loving to one another.
I like to find the beauty in ordinary and teeny things...
