November 8 – Domino Day and more!

Posted November 8, 2013

For a while, the second Friday or Saturday in November was Dominoes Day – with groups vying to set the record for the most dominoes successfully knocked over with one teeny tiny push. I don't think that this event is still happening every November... (As a matter of fact, it might not be happening at all.)

But we can still celebrate dominoes! We may not be able to set a new world's record, but we can create spirals and trails and hone our own domino-knocking-over skills! Here is a video of an amazing domino layout to inspire you.

And now for the “and more”:

Today is National Parents as Teachers Day

The organization Parents as Teachers (PAT) recognizes that parents are a child's first and most impactful teachers. The organization members try to provide information and support to parents so that they can best raise their own babies and children.
