May 1 - Anniversary of a Short-Lived Work of Art

Posted on May 1, 2018

I love sharing the art works of "land artists" who create earthscapes of snow or leaves or sticks or soil or sand.

Andres Amador is today's incredible artist. He lives in Northern California - which has some wonderful and varied beaches for his raked-sand art pieces - but Amador has also created sand-based art works all across the U.S. and the world.

For example, the film Capturing Impermanence features Amador's work on Ireland's gorgeous coastline.

Amador creates his art pieces with rakes, brooms, string, and stakes to anchor the string temporarily.

The only thing more incredible than pouring out one's creativity and artistry into a piece that only lasts a few hours is inviting other people, including kids, into the short-lived art world!

Check out this video and also this video to learn more about Amador's art, attitude, and altitude-climbing drone-based photos.
