It's 10 – 10 – 10 today!

Global Work Party

The people at 350org are organizing environmental action on this day.

Some of the activity ideas include:
#1 Organize a Tree Planting
#2 Go Solar
#3 Work on a Community Garden or an Organic Farm
#4 Go For a Bike Ride
#5 Harness the Wind
#6 Get Efficient
#7 Do a Trash Cleanup

I checked the website, and there are a lot of events very close to me that I can choose from! Cool!

Double Ten Day – Taiwan

This is the national day of the Republic of China, celebrating the start of the Wuchang Uprising on this date in 1911. The uprising led to the collapse of the Qing Dynasty in China and the establishment of the republic on January 1, 1912.

I think, on this year of 2010, we should call it Triple Ten Day!

The double cross is the symbol for the day, because the character for 10 is a single cross.
