Happy Birthday, Will Rogers
Will Rogers was a Cherokee American cowboy and performer who lived from 1879 to 1935. He was famous for standing on a stage, making humorous observations on politics and life while chewing gum and doing rope tricks. He appeared on vaudeville, radio, and movies and became very popular.
He was sort of the Jon Stewart of his time.

Will Rogers had a very ordinary-sounding name, but his FULL name was William Penn Adair Rogers. He was born on Dog Iron Ranch, near Oologah in Indian Territory, and he died in a plane crash near Barrow, Alaska. So those are some pretty interesting names, huh?
